Privacy policy

This site is run by Wild Hearts Publishing Pty Ltd (ABN 34 695 911 025), an Australian company and the publisher of the Momentum Series by Naomi Shiels. We are the ones responsible for the information described below. You can reach us at info@themomentumrule.com or through the contact page.

If you join the list. Your email address, the first name you type if you type one, and which form you used. Nothing else.

If you use the contact form. Your name, email address, subject and message, so we can reply.

If you have a members area account. Your email address, a password stored only as a cryptographic hash that nobody here can read, and the access code from your book that unlocked it.

Everyone who visits. An anonymous count of page views through Vercel Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not identify you, and cannot follow you to other sites. Our hosting also keeps short-lived server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting.

You can read every book sample, play every public track and browse the whole site without giving us anything.

We use your email address to send you what you asked for and, if you joined the list, occasional email about the books and music. We use contact messages to answer you. We use members area details to let you into the members area.

We do not sell your information, rent it, or hand it to advertisers. We do not build a profile of you.

Subscriber details, contact messages and member accounts are stored in Supabase, on servers in Sydney, Australia. The site itself is hosted by Vercel, which serves pages from data centres around the world, so a page request may be handled outside Australia even though the data above stays here.

If and when an email service is connected to send the list, your email address will also be held by that provider. This page will name it before that happens.

You only get email from us if you asked for it. Every email we send to the list will identify us and carry a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect immediately. Replying to ask to be removed works just as well.

There is no advertising or tracking cookie on this site, which is why you have not been asked to accept one. If you sign in to the members area, a session cookie keeps you signed in. That is the only cookie the site sets, and it is there because the members area cannot work without it.

Email info@themomentumrule.com and ask. We will tell you what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete it, normally within 30 days. We do not charge for this and we will not make you explain why.

Deleting a members area account removes your access to the audio that came with your book. The access code itself keeps working, so you can sign up again later with the same code.

Subscriber details are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Contact messages are kept while they are useful for answering you and then deleted. Member accounts are kept until you close them.

This site is not aimed at children. If you are under 16, please do not send us your email address without a parent or guardian.

Links here lead to Amazon, Spotify, DistroKid and our companion apps. Once you follow one, you are on their site under their privacy policy, not this one.

If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first and we will try to fix it. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

When this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. If a change affects what we do with information you have already given us, we will tell the list before it takes effect.
